Marjorie has extensive experience working on inclusive tourism and livelihoods development, mainly in South and South East Asia, Europe and the Americas. She seeks suburban and rural contexts where the practices of cultural and natural resource management and governance meet the realities of local economic conditions and the constraints of layered social and political systems. She has developed expertise in sustainable tourism and related value chains, with a focus on governance, responsible business development, and collaborative management approaches. She is a member of the assessment and award team for the UIAA Mountain Protection Award, among other groups.
