Recover from COVID-19 With Resiliency. The adage "a great place to live is a great place to visit" has never been more relevant than it is today. At Planet Happiness, we believe an essential foundation for destination resilience and recovery is a focus upon resident well-being; a focus established through the building of trust and synergies between all stakeholders & the collective design of resilience and recovery strategies.
Our ten-step process enables and creates this foundation. To further support this process, we are working to design and apply artificial intelligence systems to phone apps (for survey-takers) and dashboards (for local governments) to enable users to engage with our well-being data in real-time. |
Planet Happiness in Vanuatu.
Planet Happiness signed an agreement with Vanuatu's Department of Tourism in May 2020 to design an intersectional COVID-19 impact analysis. Our partnership aims to engage Ni-Vanuatus in conversations about tourism and community well-being.
Specifically, our work will assess the extent to which the loss of international tourism has impacted the resident population, especially as regards economic, environmental, social and cultural considerations at the community level. The results of our joint research will be presented to target communities and industry stakeholders to build trust between them and collectively define actions and interventions to support industry resilience and recovery. |
